My Brother’s Keeper is a safe and protected environment for young men of color, and offers a variety of workshops and positive youth development programs for youth of all ages. Their workshops include mentoring, financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills, healthy relationship training, leadership skill building, and more.

The City of Spartanburg Parks and Recreation provides a number of opportunities for young people in our community to find a space that is right for them. Through youth programs, opportunities to serve, and athletics, young people can take charge of their future and gain experience to take with them as they go off to college or enter the workforce. Our mission is to help youth and their families have a safe place to play and develop, to be agents of change in their lives and in the community.

SCPL has spaces, collections, and free events just for teens at each of our 10 locations. Events include anime, video games, crafts, movies, book clubs, escape rooms, cosplay, and events just for homeschoolers.

Visit the Teen Hub at the Headquarters Library, a teens-only space with instruments, a button maker, comfy seating, video games, Wi-Fi, and more.

Join the Teen Advisory Group and help make the library a better place for teens! TAG members are unofficial library ambassadors who have input on teen library services, events, contests, and collections. Perks include being the first to hear about upcoming events and contests, experience to add to college applications and resumes, meeting other teens who love the library, and volunteer credit.

Volunteens help out in the Teen Hub at the Headquarters Library to gain work and community service experience, to earn service learning or volunteer credit, or just for fun. Volunteen shifts are limited in availability, capped at two hours per day, and currently by appointment only.
