Girl Scouts: Camp WaBak (All Girl Overnight Camp)

At Camp WaBak, you’ll spend the week making new friends and creating lifelong memories while hiking, swimming, crafting, and participating in other traditional camp activities. You’ll have meals in our dining hall with your cabinmates and may even try cooking outdoors too! This year we’re incorporating more camper choice activities into our daily schedule, and each week there will be additional activities that fit the weekly camp theme!

Cost:

$475 for Girl Scout Members

$525 for non-member girls

Spring Breakout 2026

Spring Breakout is a free 5-day opportunity for Spartanburg middle and high school students over the county-wide Spring Break (April 6-10).

Students are invited to join SAM, the City of Spartanburg, and multiple community partners for lunch, learning, and fun at the Dr. TK Gregg Center from 11:30am-5:00pm.

Inside & Out: Wellness and Resilience Summit

On April 11, 2026 you are invited to the FREE Inside & Out Wellness and Resilience Summit 2026 that will be held at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Join us for a day of healing, hope, and community beginning with breakfast  at 8am followed by the Summit starting at 9am. There will be breakout sessions for adults, clergy, teens and youth, along with giveaways and entertainment for the entire family. We will also have a special Sacred Pause to honor lives lost to community violence.

The S.O.A.R. Teen Summer Camp offers a fun and engaging eight-week summer experience for middle and high school students. Participants will enjoy a mix of field trips, recreation, STEAM activities, and academic enrichment designed to keep them active, learning, and connected throughout the summer.

Meals are provided daily, with both breakfast and lunch included.

Program Details:

  • Dates: June 2 – July 24, 2026
  • Time: Monday 8:00 AM – Thursday 3:00 PM | No Program on Friday
  • Location: Bethlehem Center
  • Grades: Rising 6th – 12th grade

P.O.W.E.R. Summer Weekend Experience Program

The P.O.W.E.R. Summer Weekend Experience is a dynamic, hands-on program designed to equip middle and high school students with real-world skills and confidence for the future. Through engaging sessions, participants will explore financial literacy, entrepreneurship, career pathways, leadership development, and mental wellness.

This program creates space for youth to expand their perspective, build practical skills, and connect to opportunities beyond their current environment.

Program Details:

  • Dates: July 5 – July 26, 2026
  • Schedule: Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Sundays from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Location: C.C. Woodson Community Center
  • Grades: Rising 6th – 12th grade

Cost: $225 (includes $50 registration fee)

Scholarships are available to ensure access for all interested participants.

Move Together Spartanburg is a free, family-friendly fitness series that brings families together through movement, music, and community connection. The event will feature a circuit-style workout that people of all ages and fitness levels can participate in, along with local vendors, music, and lots of energy!

Join Uplift Outreach Center for Art Mural Inclusion, a hands-on creative experience where teens come together to design and contribute to a community mural centered on inclusion, expression, and belonging.

Participants will collaborate with peers, explore their creativity, and use art as a tool to share their voices and perspectives. This experience is designed to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and create a lasting visual representation of unity within the Spartanburg community.

No prior art experience is needed. All materials are provided.

  • Date: June 12, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Location: Uplift Center (200 Fernwood Dr, Spartanburg, SC 29307)
    • The center is located around the back of Greengate Lane.
  • Ages: 6th–12th grade
  • Cost: Free
