Brown Girls Read Summer Camp

Brown Girls Read Summer Camp
Hosted by Brown Girls Read

Step into a weekend designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and connection. Brown Girls Read Summer Camp is a residential experience where girls come together to explore books that reflect their voices, stories, and imagination while building lasting friendships.

Throughout the weekend, campers will engage in hands-on activities that celebrate identity, self-expression, and leadership. From storytelling to goal-setting, each experience is designed to help girls see themselves as creators, leaders, and changemakers.

Camp Highlights Include:

  • Create Your Own Brand workshop focused on confidence and personal storytelling
  • Professional photo shoot celebrating each camper’s unique style
  • Vision board sessions to map out goals and dreams
  • Affirmation activities that build self-esteem and leadership skills
  • Author panel discussions featuring Dinah Johnson and Ase Otite

Campers will leave with new friendships, fresh inspiration, and a stronger sense of who they are and who they want to become.
