Youth Philanthropy Board Application – NOW OPEN

Do you know a Spartanburg high school junior or senior who is passionate about community service, nonprofit work, leadership, or giving back? Encourage them to apply for the Youth Philanthropy Board.

The Youth Philanthropy Board is a joint initiative of SAM and United Way of the Piedmont that gives local youth the opportunity to learn about philanthropy, community impact, and nonprofit leadership through hands-on experience in the grantmaking and funding process.

Participants will engage in monthly meetings throughout the school year and help review applications, discuss community needs, and make funding recommendations that support local organizations and initiatives.

Applications for the upcoming school year are now OPEN. Please share with students who may be a strong fit for this opportunity.
